Welcome to Senioren-Wohnpark Wolmirstedt!
We'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our home.
The home started out as the "Clara Zetkin" retirement and nursing home which was built in 1979 on a historic piece of
land in the centre of Wolmirstedt. The building was constructed in the prefabricated style which was modern at the time
and housed 184 residents from Wolmirstedt and the surrounding villages. It was one of the most modern institutions in the area.
After the end of the Communist era it became clear that the home, despite its relatively young age, did not fulfil the
criteria of a modern nursing home.
In early 1992 Marseille- Kliniken AG took over the home. With increased material and staffing resources on its side, it began
the step by step process of introducing the tried and tested Senioren-Wohnpark concept of stimulating, rehabilitative geriatric care.
In 1995/96 the building underwent massive modernization and restoration work. The residents were moved to temporary premises in
Tangerhütte for the duration of the building work.
The Senioren-Wohnpark is right in the heart of Wolmirstedt, surrounded by a beautifully kept park. It is just a few minutes'
walk from the main shopping street, nearby doctor's surgeries and a pharmacy.
It is also very close to the bus and train stations. Wolmirstedt is also only 18 km from the state capital.
The whole region provides a myriad of opportunities for long walks and interesting excursions.
Senioren-Wohnpark Wolmirstedt specializes in the care of elderly people. It opened in 1993 accommodates 184 residents, 28 of
whom have single rooms.
We take a holistic approach to care, which means that equal attention is paid to the physical, mental and spiritual needs of
our residents. Our aim is not only to offer you a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, but also to enable you to remain as
independent as possible.
